Cab Ride on Georgia-Florida Railnet's "Beer Train" GF87
Climb aboard as we take a journey through the swamps of South Georgia on Georgia-Florida Railnet's "Beer Train" GF87. The ride starts on GFRR's own trackage at Crestwood, Georgia as we quickly proceed towards Sparks. Listen in and watch as we copy track warrants onto Norfolk Southern's GS&F North District to the NS Langdale Yard in Valdosta. On the way back north, we are put "in the hole" at Mineola for some "hot" NS trains before we are able to proceed back to Sparks and get back on GFRR trackage. The action is intense and fast-paced, and we include plenty of trackside captures of the Camas and Prairie B23-7s pulling the train. We promise that this will be one of the most unique cab ride videos you will ever witness, with plenty of interaction with the friendly crew. So strap yourself in for a rare glimpse into the interesting operations of one of the rarest movements in American Railroading. Videography by David Stewart and Mike Dixon. Edited and Produced by Mike Dixon.
| GFRR Conductor Jerome Jamison copies a track warrant from the NS dispatcher to occupy the NS GS&F North District. GFRR has trackage rights on the NS between Sparks and Valdosta, Georgia. | We are in the "hole" at Mineola as NS southbound manifest 321 passes by on the main. |
