Fallen Flag Tribute : Wisconsin Central
Volume Two
We have always been fond of the Wisconsin Central, mainly for two reasons : an attractive paint scheme and an impressive roster of SD45s. The WC was a tough, little railroad. Although their short-lived existence was merely a "blink of the eye" in terms of railroading, the WC left a lasting impression and great memories for many. The smaller Class I became "under siege" by the giant CN on October 7, 2001, and became yet another Fallen Flag in the history of American Railroading. When this event took place, we made a pact to capture EVERY train possible with WC power. With the further passage of time, this proved to be a very successful effort! Fallen Flag Tribute : Wisconsin Central is the first installment in a series of DVDs to pay tribute to railroads that have been succumbed by the mergers and acquisitions brought about by the larger, more aggressive railroads. The trains depicted here are various CN, CSXT, and NS trains with WC power in the LEAD position that were captured in the Southeastern United States between April of 2001 and November of 2002. Also includes "bonus" footage of the WC from Wisconsin in August of 2001 during their final days of independence. You will be amazed at some of the locomotive consists you will see. So sit back, relax, and watch the fruits of our labor as you pay your own tribute to the fallen Wisconsin Central! Videography by Mike Dixon. Edited and Produced by Mike Dixon.
