Variety in the Southeast 2007



Variety in the Southeast 2007 depicts a wide variety of locomotive power seen in the southeastern United States during the year 2007. We continue to follow the adventures of Southeast Railfanning videographer Mike Dixon, who is also a railroad employee, as he "sniffs out" those exotic, colorful, and unusual locomotive consists on various CSXT and NS trains. The trains are shown in chronological order. All of the exciting locomotive lashups you have come to expect from Southeast Railfanning are all here for you to enjoy. Highlights include the NS "F" units pulling some passenger specials, brand new KCS GEVOs in "Southern Belle" colors pulling some NS trains, a wide variety of older SD40-2s pulling unit-rock trains on the NS, a solid Ferro-Mex lashup on NS train 371, and much, more more! The NS "F" units look absolutely splendid as they pull the Directors' Special around the curve at Green on the NS Atlanta North District. This train is included on the DVD. You could almost smell the paint! A pair of brand new KCS GEVOs in Southern Belle colors lead a hodge podge of older NS power on northbound NS manifest 322 thru Jenkinsburg on the NS Atlanta South District.
