Best of 2005 - Volume Three

We didn't think we would have enough time to "squeeze out" a third volume for our Best of 2005 series, but thanks to alot of beautiful weather in the Southeast and a little luck, we were able to capture more than enough trains to release our third volume. The Best of 2005 - Volume Three covers the months of October through December, and features plenty of trains with "exotic" locomotive consists. Volume Three again details the results of Southeast Railfanning videographer Mike Dixon in his relentless pursuit of trains with exotic locomotive consists. The trains depicted in this DVD are various CSXT and NS trains captured in the states of Georgia and Alabama. We carefully picked our favorite trains (47 in all!) and show them in chronological order. We get off to a fast start in mid-October and continue all the way through November and December capturing as many nice trains as we can. The many interesting and unusual locomotive consists you have come to expect from Southeast Railfanning are all here for you to enjoy. Our best catch was probably "One of a Kind" NS GP59 #4610, recently repainted into a fresh coat of green and gold livery to honor Southern Railway, leading NS intermodal train I22. Other highlights include a special Military Train running on CSXT carrying 58 loads of M1A1 Abrams Tanks for the US Army with a BN painted SD60M in the lead, HLCX SD40-2 #6315, in a fresh, bright coat of red paint, leading a pair of SD50s on CSX manifest Q647, and much, much more. We finish off the year on December 30th by chasing CSXT loaded coke train K341 between Atlanta and Manchester, Georgia with an "old school" lashup of three SD40-2s, with BNSF 7847 still in cascade-green BN paint in charge. There are simply far too many exciting lashups to list here, so sit back and indulge yourself in some of the best armchair railfanning you will ever experience! If you have already purchased our 2004 Volumes, you will definitely want to check out our 2005 Volumes. Come see why 2005 was another fantastic year for SouthEast Railfanning!! Videography by Mike Dixon. Edited and Produced by Mike Dixon.
